 Soothe  | Ease  | Calm

A warming and bittersweet blend of botanicals traditionally used to support healthy digestion. The perfect, soothing post-meal cuppa.

Net wt.180g

Ingredients: Honeybush, ginger, cardamom, fennel, star anise, liquorice root, orange peel.

Infuse: 1 tsp/250ml 3-5 mins at 100°C

Honeybush (Cyclopia spp)

Honeybush is a shrub from the Eastern and Western Cape regions of South Africa. It gets its name from it’s pale yellow flowers with a characteristic sweet, honey-like scent and taste. Honeybush is naturally caffeine-free, antioxidant-rich, and contains minerals such as calcium, iron, and zinc.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale Rosc.)

Ginger’s warming and nourishing qualities help to stimulate circulation. This aids in the transport of nutrients throughout the body. Ginger is commonly used in clinical practice for reducing nausea, stomach cramps, and discomfort and to detoxify the body.

Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum)

Cardamom in Ayurvedic medicine has been found to reduce symptoms of bloating, acid reflux, flatulence, and nausea.

Fennel  (Foeniculum vulgare)

Fennel is an effective carminative, helping to relieve digestive spasms, cramping and flatulence.  Fennel also has an anti-inflammatory effect on the digestive system.

Star anise  (Illicium verum)

In Ayurvedic medicine, star anise is used to treat respiratory conditions, digestive issues, and nausea. Star anise has also been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for its warming and nourishing qualities.

Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra)

Licorice root extract is often used to relieve symptoms of indigestion, such as acid reflux, upset stomach, and heartburn. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), licorice is used to clear heat and dispel toxicity as it tonifies the Basal Qi and nourishes the Spleen Qi.

Orange peel (Citrus sinensis)

Oranges have a distinctive aroma and sweetness with the peel being the most aromatic part. Orange peel brings a sharp, tangy, citrusy quality to this blend.

A new one!

This is a new one in my pantry and so far I am absolutely loving it and it's becoming a favourite blend. I love this if I am feeling a bit bloated or even in the evenings after a meal. It's a strong blend and a little goes a long way. I was really keen to find something to help with digestion and this has really come to the party.
